THE Crossroads Sept 14-17 • Darlington, MD
Wintersong Tashlin (http://WinterTashlin.com) is a presenter, spirit worker, writer, and photographer who has been teaching and running rituals for over a decade. His classes cover a variety of erotic, spiritual and sexual topics; his ritual work largely focuses on rites of personal transformation and ordeal; and his magical work is centered on a systematic approach to the interactions between people and the energies around us. As a spirit worker, Winter works with the wandering Dead, along with a diverse range of gods and spirits; offers divination service; and facilitates rituals for both individuals and communities on his own and with Clan Tashlin/Tashrisketlin, of which he is one of the founders. Wintersong has presented workshops and/or run ritual at events throughout the northeast and across the USA since the early 2000s. His writing and photography has been featured in NewWitch Magazine, HUGGIN, and books by leading pagan authors, and he has also appeared on The History Channel, UK5, and both the Risk! and Passion And Soul podcasts.
Sex, Magic and the Great Outdoors
Neo-paganism spirituality is often referred to as “earth-based.” People who feel drawn to neo-paganism have a deeper connection to the earth and the natural world around them than most other folk. This connection is all too often centered in our minds. How do we connect to the earth in a more visceral way? In this participatory workshop we’re going to use energy work and our own bodies to share, if only for a while, an intimate personal connection with earth and the world around us. The objective of the class is to form magical connection to nature through erotic play, although how you define “erotic” is entirely up to you. The class will culminate in a guided meditation and no one will be forced to go beyond what they are comfortable with in order to participate.
Cleansing with Kink
Cleansing, purifying, and consecrating ourselves and our spaces is an integral part of the spiritual and magical practices of many people in the neo-pagan and new age communities. This workshop goes outside of the traditional standbys of salt and sage, instead looking at how we can use a wide variety of kink practices as valuable tools in our cleansing Work. From more obvious activities such as fire play, to impact, D/s, and even sounding or knife play, you won't look at kink OR cleansing the same way again.
