COVID 19 Policy

We have been contacted by a number of our community members about our thoughts regarding COVID-19. Of course it concerns us and we are closely monitoring the situation as it evolves here in the US. Because of the new recommendations from the CDC, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our Beltane event till September. It's only the right thing to do.
The new dates will be Sept 16-20, 2020. We hope that you will choose to attend our postponed event. We anticipate the presenter lineup being similar, and often the weather that time of year is nicer than our May weather (a secret we've held close since we like our little September event, but now you know). Plus the pool is usually still open!
If you have already purchased a registration for THE Beltane 2020, you don't need to do a thing as it will be automatically shifted to the new event. We hope you'll come to the rescheduled event, but we know that won't be possible for everyone. If you'd like a refund for the event, you have until August 15th to let us know and we'll take care of it. You can also ask us to hold your registration money for THE Beltane 2021 if you like. Just email us at [email protected] and we'll let you know how to proceed.
Obviously we are taking a hit both personally and financially by making this decision. If you'd like to help our events out, letting people know about the new dates and talking them up would be great. If you want to have a more immediate impact, we are gratefully accepting donations towards defraying the cost. It's easy to do so in the registration system. If you can't figure it out or don't want to register at this time, simply email Cat ([email protected]) and she'll gladly help you do so.

As for THE Dungeons + Geekdoms, here is the most recent information:
- Yesterday I had an exchange with the Sales Manager (our buddy Chris) which essentially told us that the hotel has no idea what will be allowed in August as far as gatherings go. They're closing up entirely for May, and we'll talk again in June when they're open again. They'd like to wait to decide.
- We are at the mercy of the hotel to some extent because if we choose to cancel the event we are out a LOT of money, but...
- We have a clause in our contract that says, if the hotel can't host the event for whatever reason, the contract becomes null and void.
- So we are waiting to hear from the hotel whether or not we are holding the event.
- Since that's all we can do for now, that's what we're doing.
- Please be prepared for us to ask you to leave your ticket money on deposit with us towards 2021 when we definitely plan to hold an event.
- We have already had to cancel one event this year, so we'll need help from the whole community to get through this year and keep producing events.
- Hang in there for the time being.
